Why I Don't Make New Year's Resolutions: Donuts! LOL
All kidding aside, I haven't made a New Year's resolution in decades. I find it so appalling to watch the massive, media-endorsed gluttony over the holidays, followed by all the ads for diet plans, pills and exercise equipment in January. Are we really that predictable? Seriously?!
I've chosen to step off THAT ride—that ride of feast or famine mindset. Rather, I choose to savor the moment; my precious time with loved ones; readily available hot water; the aroma of dinner being cooked; fresh sheets; comfortable clothes; beautiful artwork; a warm embrace; and even a donut from time to time. An attitude of gratitude and a mindset of abundance helps keep us off that binge/starve cycle and helps us make meaningful choices. (I don't have to eat every sugary sweet that I cross paths with anymore, because there is no scarcity of that stuff. I choose to savor something extra-special. ) My wish for you in the coming year is a more colorful life, filled with joy, love, abundance, forgiveness, and a steadfast determination to savor your life—and an occasional donut!
